Dear Members,

Movie Screening: Force of Water

Location: Theater 33, 533 Sutter St., San Francisco, CA 94102
Film screening of Force of Water followed by a panel and networking on women’s leadership in climate resilience and global water solutions.
Access to clean water is one of the most urgent and universal climate challenges of our time. As climate change intensifies droughts, flooding, and water scarcity, communities around the world face growing threats to health, livelihoods, and stability. Women are often the most affected by water insecurity—yet they are also leading some of the most powerful grassroots solutions. During San Francisco Climate Week, Women in Cleantech & Sustainability and Green Empowerment are bringing the community together for a special evening that highlights the intersection of climate resilience, water justice, and women’s leadership.
Join us for an inspiring evening featuring a screening of Force of Water, a powerful documentary from Green Empowerment that follows two communities in Ecuador and Uganda as they come together to build their own water systems. Through compelling storytelling, the film reveals how community-led solutions—often driven by women—are transforming access to clean water and strengthening climate resilience. After the screening, stay for a thought-provoking panel discussion with climate leaders exploring how climate change disproportionately affects women and how we can better support women stepping forward to lead solutions worldwide. We’ll close the evening with a lively networking reception—an opportunity to connect with fellow innovators, advocates, and changemakers from across the Bay Area climate community while continuing the conversation sparked by the film.
